Quotes About Losing Someone You Love To Cancer

ginger vase (continued)

me very much liked the post from flashdecor "ginger vase" , but feeling that somewhere I've seen these vases in an entirely different place. I remembered! Of course, this is - Delft (Holland).

Delft is a town in southern Holland. In the 17 th century Delft became famous through their factory producing faience (pottery) and porcelain. Faience and porcelain produced in Delft from 1600 to mid-19 th century.

But the most striking thing is that since 1657 because of political procrastination stopped Chinese importation of porcelain in Europe, which will increase the demand for Japanese and Delft porcelain. Later, due to the success of Delft China began to copy the style of Delft: a white and blue porcelain. At least this version tells the Dutch themselves, and apparently it is not too far from the truth, because truly characteristic of the old China multicolor in porcelain painting. By the way, and the very manufacture of Delft in the 18 century and added other colors: red and green. In Delft there were about 30 small factories producing a variety of subjects ranging from the tiles on the wall to the various shapes of animals and humans.

Well, at the end of the story an example of how looks ginger vase from Delft. Lovely, is not it? :-)
